Community Ownership - Shaping the Future of Our Towns

The challenges facing towns are not new but have become even more acute over the course of the pandemic. With a real need to rethink the regeneration of towns beyond the high street, our aim was to facilitate a thought-provoking and enlightening event that brought together a range of perspectives from some of the pioneering groups and organisations taking on this challenge.

Part One: Project Showcase – Midsteeple Quarter, Dumfries

Midsteeple Quarter team provided an in-depth dive into their plans and journey so far and what the reality of community ownership and community-led development in towns really means.

Part Two: Panel Discussion

Panel discussion with Suzy Goodsir (Greener Kirkcaldy), Matt Baker (The Stove Network), Carey Doyle (Community Land Scotland) and Nick Plumb (Power to Change) facilitated by Pippa Coutts from Carnegie UK Trust.
